An appalling incident from Ashoknagar, Madhya Pradesh, surfaces where a man gruesomely cut off his wife's hand. It's reported that after seeing his wife asleep, the accused first struck her leg. When she screamed, he severed her hand and fled with the dismembered limb. The children alerted the police and somehow got her to the hospital.

According to information, the incident occurred around 2 AM after everyone had gone to sleep post-dinner. Suddenly, the husband grabbed an axe and attacked his sleeping wife's leg, then cut off her right hand. The children woke up to their mother’s cries and informed the police. On reaching the scene, officers transported the woman to the district hospital.

This nightmarish event took place in Barkhedi village where the woman resided with her husband, Kamal Ahirwar, and four children in Jagdamba Colony. Married for 16 years, initially, their life was peaceful. However, suspicions arose when the husband believed his wife was talking to someone over the phone, leading to frequent disputes. Driven by this mistrust, he chopped off her hand.

Police arrest the accused husband

Upon receiving the complaint, police initiated a search and quickly apprehended the husband along with the wife's severed hand. The police state that the case is being investigated with utmost seriousness, and they are intent on ensuring the accused receives a severe sentence.
