This notification, now published in the Gazette of India, introduces a revised system where 50% of the constable positions filled via direct recruitment each year will be reserved for ex-Agniveers. Moreover, an additional 10% quota is allotted for former servicemen, while 3% is maintained for the accommodation of Combatized Constables (Tradesmen).

Ex-Agniveers Granted Up to 5 Years Age Relaxation

Discussing age limits, for the Constable (GD) position, the minimum age is established at 18 years, with the maximum being 23 years. Age calculations align with the relevant SSC or nodal force notifications. Special age relaxations have been expressly granted to ex-Agniveers.
