During an action scene, Emraan was severely injured, with a tear in his abdominal tissues necessitating immediate surgery, which fortunately was successful. Despite the grave operation, the shoot, unfolding in Rajasthan, was not hindered.

Emraan refused to let his ailment disrupt the entire team's effort, returning to the set even though doctors advised rest. Fans eagerly await this sequel, anticipated to brim with drama and romance, akin to its predecessor.

Who's Starring in 'Awarapan 2'?

Alongside Emraan, the film stars Disha Patani as the leading lady. Additionally, formidable actress Shabana Azmi holds a pivotal role. Helmed by producer Mahesh Bhatt and directed by Nitin Kakkar, the creators plan for an April 2026 release.

The original 'Awarapan', released in 2007, had not fared well initially at the box office, starring Emraan and actress Shriya Saran, directed by Mohit Suri of 'Saayra' fame. However, the film gathered a fanbase over the years, resulting in the sequel's fruition, set to hit theaters soon.
