Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the ceremonial flag at the top of Ayodhya's Ram Temple on Tuesday. Alongside him, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat were also present. Bhagwat remarked that for all of us, today is a day of fulfillment. Today, peace was likely felt by those who sacrificed their lives for the Ram Temple, as the saffron flag proudly flies, marking the formal completion of its construction. Witnessing the flag that once soared in Ayodhya fly again with one's own eyes is a monumental moment.

The Flag Elevates Core Values: Mohan Bhagwat

During the temple's flag hoisting ceremony, Bhagwat stated that the flag is a symbol, and placing such a tall flag on the temple took considerable time, much like the construction of the temple itself. He mentioned that many dreamt of this day, with some sacrificing their lives.

Bhagwat paid homage to several individuals, asserting that today their souls might find peace. Many worked quietly behind the scenes but shared the vision of the Ram Temple. Now, with the rituals completed, the flag of 'Ram Rajya' is hoisted high.

Hoisting such a tall flag took a significant amount of time. As you all know, the temple's construction took long enough. Excluding 500 years, it took 30 years. Bhagwat further mentioned that this flag symbolizes some core values that will illuminate the path for the world, encompassing personal life, family life, and the life of the whole creation. It is religion that benefits everyone.

Moreover, he expressed that the saffron color of the flag epitomizes religion, thus it is called the 'Dharma Dhwaj'. The flag bears the emblem of the Raghu dynasty - the tree of Kovidar (Mandar). Though it appears similar to Kachnar, inquisitive individuals have identified it as akin to the Mandar and Parijat trees. Both trees are known as divine trees.

Both Trees are Beneficial in Every Way

About both trees, it is said: 'Providing shade to others while standing in the sun themselves.' They produce fruits for others and distribute them. Trees are akin to virtuous people, and the Kachnar tree's qualities are medicinal. The Kachnar tree is utilized in food as well. In every regard, we have adopted this tree as a symbol.
