The final month of the year brings several significant changes, starting today with a substantial relief for LPG users. As of December 1, 2025, LPG cylinder prices have been slashed nationwide. Oil marketing companies have extended this relief on the 19-kilogram commercial gas cylinders, which are now cheaper by 10 rupees in Delhi and Kolkata, and 11 rupees in Mumbai and Chennai. Meanwhile, prices for the 14-kilogram domestic gas cylinder remain unchanged.
New Prices Effective December 1
According to IOCL’s website, from December 1, the price of a 19-kilogram LPG cylinder in Delhi has dropped from 1590 rupees to 1580 rupees. Similarly, Kolkata sees a reduction of 10 rupees, bringing the price down from 1694 rupees to 1684 rupees per cylinder. In other metropolitan areas, the commercial cylinder is now available at 1531 rupees in Mumbai, reduced from 1542 rupees, while in Chennai, the price is cut from 1750 rupees to 1739 rupees.

November Prices Were Also Reduced
Notably, LPG cylinder prices had already been reduced on November 1. The continuous drop in price for two consecutive months has been welcomed by consumers. On November 1, the price of a 19-kilogram cylinder decreased from 1595.50 rupees in Delhi to 1590 rupees, in Kolkata from 1700.50 rupees to 1694 rupees, in Mumbai from 1547 rupees to 1542 rupees, and in Chennai from 1754.50 rupees to 1750 rupees.
Current Rates in Lucknow and Patna
In other cities like Patna, Bihar, a 14-kilogram cylinder is available for 951 rupees, while a 19-kilogram gas cylinder costs 1843.50 rupees. In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a commercial cylinder is priced at 1703 rupees, and a domestic cylinder is priced at 890.50 rupees. In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a Commercial LPG Cylinder is priced at 1607.50 rupees, and a domestic cylinder is 858.50 rupees.
No Change in Domestic Cylinder Prices
While commercial gas cylinder prices have been fluctuating due to periodic revisions—sometimes increasing and sometimes being reduced—the prices for domestic gas cylinders have remained steady since April. On December 1, the price for a 14-kilogram LPG cylinder stood at 853 rupees in Delhi, 879 rupees in Kolkata, 852 rupees in Mumbai, and 868 rupees in Chennai.
