The Delhi Police Special Cell has made a significant breakthrough by dismantling a terror module operating under the influence of Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI. Three terrorists have been apprehended. This module was being orchestrated by gangster Shahzad Bhatti from Pakistan, who was plotting targeted killings and grenade attacks in India under ISI's directives. Investigations revealed that Anmol Bishnoi was the primary target of this plot.
Additional CP Pramod Kumar Kushwaha stated that the arrested terrorists, Hargunpreet Singh (Punjab), Vikas Prajapati (Datia, Madhya Pradesh), and Arif (Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh), were in direct contact with Shahzad Bhatti. These are the same individuals who, on November 25, threw a hand grenade outside the Gurdaspur City Police Station, acting on Bhatti's instructions. The involvement was confirmed through mobile chats and voice notes.
The terrorists had conducted reconnaissance in several locations across Punjab. Video footage, voice chats, location data, and conversations on social media apps reveal that this module was functioning not just as a gang, but as a fully operational terror cell. Bhatti recruited youth through social media, planning grenade attacks and target killings in India.

Links associated with this module have also been discovered, which the Delhi Police will share with Punjab Police. The Special Cell claims more arrests are imminent. A pistol and 10 live cartridges were recovered from Vikas. Following this revelation, Anmol Bishnoi's security has become a significant concern. On October 27, through his lawyer, he filed a plea in court expressing a genuine threat from Shahzad Bhatti.
On November 28, the NIA also confirmed this threat in court, stating that they have received relevant inputs. Anmol Bishnoi demanded court permission to be transported in a bulletproof vehicle during hearings and be provided with a bulletproof jacket. He also requested a review of his lawyers' and family's security for their safety. His lawyer mentioned that the family remains under constant stress.
Threatening videos circulated on social media and Shahzad Bhatti's history of attacks further escalate the threat level. The grenade attack on a YouTuber's residence in Jalandhar in March 2025 was also claimed by this gangster. Hence, security agencies are treating the threat to Anmol Bishnoi not merely as a warning, but as a concrete terror input, driving their investigations seriously. Delhi Police's actions have dealt a significant blow to the Bhatti module.
