Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren has yet to clarify his party's stance on the Delhi elections. JMM is in a dilemma about whether to support the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi assembly elections or campaign for Congress.
In Jharkhand, Congress is part of the government led by JMM in the India Block alliance. During the Lok Sabha elections, Sunita Kejriwal actively campaigned for the India Block candidates. AAP's Arvind Kejriwal was present at Hemant Soren's swearing-in ceremony. As a result, JMM is not openly extending moral support to either AAP or Congress.

Why is JMM Neutral?
Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren have been pivotal figures in the India Block. Kalpana Soren robustly campaigned during the Lok Sabha elections. Yet, the India Block seems to have fallen apart in the Delhi assembly elections. AAP and Congress are in conflict with each other. Hence, JMM is hesitant to show favoritism or extend moral support to either side.
The Hemant government is backed by the support of 16 Congress MLAs in the state, making it difficult for JMM to oppose Congress. Simultaneously, it does not want to damage its relationship with AAP. Thus, remaining neutral in the Delhi elections seems likely, and Hemant Soren may choose not to campaign.

Shibu Soren to Make Final Decision
On this issue, JMM spokesperson Manoj Pandey stated that support will be granted to those capable of strengthening secular powers. Both components have been integral to the India Block, and hence the final decision rests with the party supremo, 'Guruji' Shibu Soren.
