Inspector's Final Conversation Before the Murder

Inspector Srinivas, assigned to VIP security, noted that Om Prakash and his wife shared a strained relationship. According to Srinivas, 'He (the former DGP) called me at 3:05 PM and spoke very calmly and clearly. I offered to visit, but he immediately said... do not come... madam is home. His murder was incredibly brutal. Madam never allowed anyone to visit the home, and I was unaware of their domestic issues. Sir seemed mentally distressed, repeatedly telling me about the considerable expenses for his wife's treatment. Unable to meet or communicate with others, he was frustrated by his wife’s conduct.'

Currently, the police are investigating all possible motives behind the murder. Sources suggest disputes over property might be involved, as the couple had conflicts regarding land in Dandeli, Karnataka. Months ago, Pallavi attempted to file a complaint at the HSR Layout Police Station but resorted to staging a protest after her complaint went unregistered. Investigators Seize Phones from Deceased and Suspects

Police have confiscated the mobile phones of the deceased and both accused individuals. Statements have been recorded from three individuals concerning the case. Sources indicate Pallavi initially claimed self-defense, alleging that her husband, former DGP Om Prakash, roamed the house with a firearm. During a minor argument, she alleged, he threatened her with the gun, prompting her to stab him with a knife. Pallavi herself reported the incident to the police.

8-10 Stab Wounds Found, Excessive Blood Loss Caused Death

Pallavi reported her statement to the Madivala Assistant Police Commissioner. However, sources revealed Om Prakash had confided in senior officers several times about enduring torture from his wife. Initial investigations showed Om Prakash sustained multiple stab wounds—around 8-10 to the chest, abdomen, and arms. Several wounds in the abdominal area led to significant blood loss, causing his death. Bloodstains across the dining hall floor indicate a struggle lasting 15-20 minutes. As Om Prakash writhed in agony, his wife Pallavi allegedly watched helplessly. Following his death, she reportedly called a senior IPS officer to inform them about the murder.
