On the third day of the budget session, Monday witnessed an uproar in the Lok Sabha when opposition leader and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi stood to deliver his speech. During his address, Rahul Gandhi emphasized that with a robust manufacturing system, there would be no need for the Foreign Minister to repeatedly request the inclusion of the PM in the US President's inauguration. Our foreign representative shouldn't have to go to the US urging them to please call our Prime Minister. During this, PM Modi was present in the House.
BJP Expresses Opposition
BJP MPs strongly objected to Rahul Gandhi's allegations. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju remarked that opposition leaders in the Lok Sabha cannot make such baseless accusations. If Rahul Gandhi has any evidence, he should present it in the House, but refrain from making such claims. On national issues, there should be unity. Rijiju emphasized the need for the opposition leader to be serious.
Claimed: Manufacturing at Lowest in 60 Years
Rahul Gandhi asserted that manufacturing in India is at its lowest level in 60 years. Referring to the 'Make in India' initiative, he showcased a phone, pointing out that although we claim it's made in India, its components come from China and are assembled here. He highlighted the global shift from petroleum to batteries and nuclear energy, noting that everything is evolving.
The last time there was a revolution, the Indian government anticipated the computer revolution and focused on it. Today, the results are visible. People laughed when computers were introduced. Though I respect Vajpayeeji, he was also against it back then. Amidst war in Ukraine, electric motors and engines are being produced. From robots to drones were mentioned, and the discussion shifted to AI. AI, operated by data, is ineffective without it. The question remains, what data does AI use? India lacks its own data. AI will either use Chinese or American data.
