The controversy surrounding the disrespect shown towards Swati Maliwal, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Aam Aadmi Party, at the Delhi CM's residence is intensifying. An FIR has been filed against the accused Vibhav Kumar, and statements under section 164 of CrPC were recorded before the magistrate on Friday. Meanwhile, it emerged that the decision to file a police complaint was made after Vibhav was seen with Arvind Kejriwal at the Lucknow airport on Thursday. Kejriwal, who arrived in Mumbai today, was not seen accompanied by Vibhav.

A close source to Swati Maliwal stated that Vibhav was indeed spotted with Arvind Kejriwal at the Lucknow airport, which prompted Maliwal's decision to lodge a formal complaint with the police. Previously, having been reassured by Sanjay Singh, Maliwal was content until Thursday. Sanjay Singh had been in contact with Maliwal, but she felt deceived when she saw Vibhav with the Delhi CM, questioning the authenticity of his promises for action. This prompted Maliwal to put her case in writing.

On the other hand, a purported video of the incident at the CM's residence has gone viral, claiming to show the series of events involving Maliwal on May 13th. Maliwal has questioned the video's veracity on her social media posts. She suggests that political character assassins have begun their attempts to protect themselves by circulating half-truth videos. 'Would anyone record a video of someone being beaten? Once the footage from inside the home and rooms is examined, the truth will prevail. Sink to whatever depths you might, the Almighty is watching. One day, the truth of everyone will surface.'

The Aam Aadmi Party reposted this video adding, 'The truth about Swati Maliwal.'

Swati Maliwal sustained internal injuries to her face after the incident. She spent roughly four hours in Delhi's AIIMS until late Thursday night. The police brought Maliwal to AIIMS around 11 PM, and she was discharged post-medical examinations at about 3:15 AM. Maliwal returned home around 3:30 AM after undergoing nearly three hours of medical tests, including X-rays and a CT scan. The results of Maliwal's medical tests were expected to be released on Friday. She suffered internal injuries to her face.
