A harrowing incident occurred in Betul, Madhya Pradesh. A farmer was engulfed by a thresher while harvesting wheat and was pronounced dead at the scene. Half of the farmer's body was trapped inside the thresher while his legs remained outside. Upon notification, police swiftly arrived at the scene, secured the body, and initiated an investigation after sending it for a post-mortem. The village is enveloped in mourning after this tragic event.

The incident took place on Monday in the Sobhapur village under the Sarni police jurisdiction. 28-year-old Radheshyam Uikey fell victim to the thresher machine. After the post-mortem, the body was released to his family. It is reported that other family members were present during the accident and attempted to rescue him but to no avail; his death came after heart-wrenching screams as he was fatally stuck in the machine.

Farmer Engulfed by Thresher While Harvesting Wheat

Radheshyam Uikey worked as a laborer. He was harvesting wheat in his field on the day of Holi with his wife Babita and mother Manna Uikey. While he operated the machine, his wife collected the threshed wheat, and his mother was managing the storage. The family is left inconsolable after this catastrophic loss.

Mourning Spreads Through Village After Farmer's Tragic Demise

Investigating officer RS Amrute reported that the farmer was engaged in harvesting wheat when he missed noticing the looming danger, resulting in his body being swept into the thresher.
