In a shocking incident near Saiyan Toll Plaza in Agra, a family from Madhya Pradesh was attacked by some miscreants. This family was on a pilgrimage to Mathura to visit Radha Rani. On their way back, they stopped to use a restroom when hoodlums surrounded and harassed them. Despite attempts to defend themselves, their car was vandalized. Witnesses report that the driver was beaten with an iron rod. The assailants broke the toll booth barrier and fled. The incident was captured on CCTV, and the victim's story has gained traction on social media. Currently, the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
In fact, a user on the social media platform 'X' recounted the ordeal, stating that on March 9th, Aditya Rajawat, along with his brother, father, and a companion, traveled from Gwalior to Mathura for the pilgrimage. On their return journey, around 9:30 PM, they stopped approximately 8 kilometers from Saiyan Toll Plaza on NH-44 to use the restroom. At that moment, a blue Baleno car without a number plate approached from the wrong side. Three to four individuals began questioning the Rajawat family.
The victims reported that the attackers inquired about their car’s number, the owner’s name, their destination, and origin. All appeared to be intoxicated and began pushing and shoving. When resisted, they turned violent. The driver attempted to escape, but the miscreants pursued them and caught up near Saiyan Toll Plaza.
While in the Fastag lane, the attackers struck Aditya Rajawat’s car with an iron rod, severely damaging it. The ruffians continued their rampage at the toll booth, intimidating onlookers from intervening. Ultimately, they broke the toll barrier and fled. After the incident, the victims registered an FIR at the police station. CCTV footage from the toll plaza has been obtained to identify the attackers.
In the investigation, Inspector Upendra Srivastava of Saiya police station revealed that an earlier altercation between the Gwalior resident and Saurabh and his two companions at the Malpura police station area led to the attack at Saiyan Toll Plaza. The incident did not involve any altercation with toll plaza staff. Following the complaint, a case has been filed under sections 115(2), 352, and 324(4) of the IPC.
