The elusive gangster from Western Uttar Pradesh, Ravi Nagar, known as Ravi Kana, wanted for numerous cases, has been arrested in Thailand. This January witnessed a major crackdown by Noida Police on Ravi Kana's operations, leading to the seizure of properties associated with his close aid, Kajal Jha, in Delhi.
The confiscated estate located in New Delhi's New Friends Colony was evaluated close to 80 crore rupees. Kajal Jha, once a director in Ravi Kana's scrap company, along with her boyfriend Ravi Kana, was also detained by Thai authorities. The narrative of gangster Ravi Kana, who started his career dealing in scrap, reads like a dramatic movie script.

Ravi Nagar, alias Ravi Kana, has a history as a scrap-dealer. Earlier this January, Greater Noida's Beta 2 police station secured a case against him under the Gangster Act. Officials disclosed that a gangrape case was also filed against the 42-year-old gangster on December 28, 2023.
Lookout Notice Issued in January Including a Red Corner Notice
A senior police official revealed that Gautam Buddh Nagar Police is in collaboration with INTERPOL and local foreign authorities. Suspecting Ravi of fleeing the country, a lookout circular and a red corner notice were circulated against him in January. It was confirmed that Ravi Kana and Kajal Jha are in custody in Thailand, waiting to be extradited for the hearings of the cases pending against them here.
Police Have Sealed Assets Worth 200 Crores Involving the Gangster
Following the registration of the Gangster Act case, Noida Police has detained roughly a dozen members of Ravi Kana's gang and sealed assets worth nearly 200 crore rupees, including factories, offices, and vehicles. Investigations revealed Nagar's shift from scrap-dealing to criminal activities, stating his involvement even in robbery incidents.
The Mansion in Delhi Valued at 80 Crores
Ravi Kana is also sought for a gangrape case. Initially, Noida Police had registered a gangster case against him, followed by seizing his factories, warehouses, and various scrap-filled vehicles. Police conducted a raid on the mansion located in Delhi's New Friends Colony that was purchased for Kajal Jha by Ravi Kana and later seized by police. The property was valued at approximately 80 crore rupees.
These Assets Were Confiscated by the Police in January
Earlier in January, the Beta Two and Ecotech One police raided Ravi's hideouts. This led to the seizure of scrap and land worth 30 crores in the Ecotech One area. In addition, 5000 square yards of land in Bisrakh's Cherry County area were also seized. Along with this, 20 empty trucks, two scrap-laden trucks estimated to be worth around 5 crores were subjected to action. Further, 200 tons of scrap and steel rods worth 10 lakhs were apprehended, as well as 60 large vehicles being sealed.
