Raids were also conducted at the residences of Devashish Som and Sanjay Vashishta, who were part of Sandeep Ghosh's team at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. In total, the CBI searched 15 locations. The CBI initiated a search at Sandeep Ghosh's house at 6 AM today, entering after waiting for an hour and a half. Subsequently, raids were carried out at the homes of two senior doctors as well. The case has been handed over to the CBI based on a complaint from the former vice-principal of the medical college, Akhtar Ali.
The investigation into the Kolkata rape and murder case of the lady doctor is deepening. The roots of this case may extend to various places, potentially revealing other cases connected to this murder. The Mamata government had initially formed an SIT to investigate the irregularities, but the High Court later mandated that the CBI should take over the investigation.
