Some reached the gate of the assembly, sparking a minor clash with officers. The protesting students were outraged by the police action on their peers in Barabanki. They stated that their protest will continue until the Home Secretary meets with them and promises appropriate action.

Call for Strict Action Against Police Officers

During the protest, students questioned the role of the police. They claimed that the police brutally baton-charged peacefully protesting students, which is entirely unjust. They demanded immediate action against the guilty officers in Barabanki. Until their demands are met, they will continue their movement. A large police force was deployed to prevent students from advancing further. Police detained several students and took them away in vehicles.
