After Diwali, the air in the national capital, Delhi, has turned toxic once again. Due to fireworks and firecrackers, on Tuesday morning, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) soared above 500. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken aim at the BJP government over the situation in Delhi-NCR.

Former Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj criticized the Rekha Gupta administration stating that the government had claimed, 'We will create artificial rain after Diwali to cleanse all pollution. Where is the artificial rain?'

Further, he questioned, 'If you could initiate artificial rain and had promised to do so, why was it not done? Do you wish for people to fall ill?'

'Collusion with Private Hospitals...'

Referring to the state of government hospitals, Saurabh Bharadwaj remarked, 'Since this government's inception, medicines have been depleted systematically within government hospitals. There exists collusion with private hospitals. The chief minister frequently inaugurates private hospitals.'

He continued, 'Testing in government hospitals has been ceased, and facilities have been reduced, all to fuel the profits of private healthcare systems. The government's stance is crystal clear.'

'Pressure on the Government...'

Citing fireworks as a reason for Delhi's pollution, Saurabh Bharadwaj pointed out, 'There is a significant lobby for firecrackers. They benefitted by millions. Whom among them has received shares?'

He added, 'How were firecrackers sold beyond green crackers? The lobby, which manufactured fireworks worth billions, pressured the government to sell them. If this occurred under police supervision, it indicates collusion.'
