On the morning of October 26, a shocking incident of acid attack in Delhi's Bharat Nagar area has taken a surprising twist. In the unfolding investigation, evidence gathered by the police contradicts the victim’s statements. Astonishingly, the father, Akil, has confessed to scheming this attack to falsely accuse Jitendra. He was involved in a dispute with Ishan and Armaan, which led him to implicate them as well.
According to sources, the girl herself procured toilet-grade acid. Akil prompted her, stating Jitendra’s wife was threatening legal action against him, thus prompting the trap. He persuaded his daughter to support his plan. Investigations have disclosed Jitendra's presence in Karol Bagh during the incident, corroborated by CCTV footage of him on a bike and his mobile location.
The girl reported to police that she was headed to an extra class at Laxmibai College, Ashok Vihar. Along the way, she alleged, Jitendra, with his friends Ishan and Armaan, approached on a bike and threw acid-like liquid on her. Jitendra was reportedly driving while Ishan and Armaan sat behind, with Armaan allegedly throwing the acid.

The victim claimed her defensive attempt resulted in severe burns on her hands. She stated that Jitendra had been stalking her for months, with a prior altercation a month prior. However, a stark turn occurred during investigations as mobile location, CCTV footage, and witness testimonies placed Jitendra in Karol Bagh at the time.
Even the motorbike mentioned by the girl was found parked in Karol Bagh. These revelations cast doubt on her statements. Another significant breakthrough occurred when police discovered Jitendra’s wife had lodged a PCR call on October 24, two days prior to the incident, reporting harassment and blackmail by her father, Akil Khan.
Jitendra’s wife accused working at Akil's factory between 2021 to 2024, where she allegedly faced coercion, leading to the creation of compromising photos and blackmail. Based on her complaint, a case was filed at Bhalswa Dairy police station. Current reports reveal Akil Khan is absconding, with ongoing efforts by police to arrest him.
The other alleged accomplices, Armaan and Ishan, are reportedly with their mother Shabnam in Agra. Intriguingly, Shabnam herself reported surviving an acid attack in 2018, allegedly perpetrated by Akil Khan’s kin. Additionally, a longstanding property dispute in Mongolpuri between Shabnam and Akil is under judicial proceedings.
CCTV footage unraveled multiple facets of the story. It was revealed that the victim’s brother had dropped her on a scooter near Ashok Vihar, without seeing her to the college gate. She was later seen taking an e-rickshaw, prompting police to question whether the brother knew something beforehand.
Presently, the brother's non-compliance with police inquiries deepens suspicions. Police state several aspects of the investigation remain unverified, with forensic and digital evidence under meticulous review by senior authorities. Delhi police affirm the truth will eventually prevail and strict legal actions will ensue against any found guilty.
