Amidst the ongoing discussions regarding the Communication Companion App, Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted the app's features. He stated that this app is protecting people from online fraud. Its objective is to safeguard each individual's privacy. Scindia tweeted in detail about the app on X.

Scindia tweeted, stating that the digital security of every citizen is our top priority. The purpose of the 'Communication Companion' app is to empower each person to protect their privacy while staying safe from online fraud. It operates as a completely voluntary and democratic setup—users can activate and benefit from it or delete it from their phones any time.

Additionally, 4.096 million fraudulent mobile connections reported by citizens were disconnected. Furthermore, 620,000 fraud-linked IMEIs have been blocked.
