The Bihar political scene is heating up as the Assembly elections approach. Union Minister and National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, has indicated his willingness to contest in the upcoming elections. This is the first time Chirag Paswan has openly discussed this possibility and revealed the reasons behind his decision to contest.
During a visit to Mahua in Vaishali to meet with the family of a crime victim, Chirag Paswan was asked by reporters about the possibility of contesting the Assembly elections. He responded clearly, saying, 'If the party wishes, I will definitely contest the elections.' He added that this is not just for show; the party is seriously considering this step.
Chirag Paswan Will Contest the Assembly Elections
Chirag Paswan shared that his party is currently deliberating and conducting surveys in various assembly constituencies to understand the potential benefits of his candidature to the party and the alliance. He emphasized that this decision is not a matter of personal ambition but part of a broader strategy for the party and the NDA alliance.
Chirag also clarified that his participation in the Assembly elections could help LJP (Ram Vilas) secure more seats. This would not only improve the party's performance but also strengthen the NDA alliance's position.
An Advantage for the NDA: Chirag Paswan
He remarked that, similar to the Lok Sabha elections, the party aims to improve its strike rate this time as well. It is often seen that when a prominent leader steps into the fray, it impacts the entire organization.
However, amid these developments, the biggest question arises: Will Chirag Paswan limit his involvement to becoming an MLA, or will the next step be a bid for the Chief Minister position? Are the calculations of seats and political strategies paving the way for a potential bid for the CM post?
