A Photoshopped image of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav was falsely connected with the grave of gangster Atique Ahmed. According to the agency, a case has been filed against an individual for posting the picture.

Colonelganj Assistant Superintendent of Police Rajiv Yadav confirmed that a lawsuit was lodged at Georgetown police station against an individual named Manoj Srivastava under section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the IPC and section 67 of the IT Act. This follows a complaint by local Samajwadi Party leader Sandeep Yadav.

The complainant alleges the original picture showcased Akhilesh and Dimple paying tribute at Mulayam Singh Yadav's memorial, but the accused Manoj Srivastava tampered with it to imply it was taken at Atique Ahmed's grave.

Complainant Sandeep Yadav also accused Manoj of consistently making frivolous and offensive remarks against Akhilesh and Dimple Yadav.
