The shocking discovery of the unclothed body of a 22-year-old Dalit woman has rocked a village in Ayodhya. Missing since Friday evening, her body was found near a drain outside the village this morning. Her family alleges she was raped before being murdered.
Although the family had already reported her disappearance to the police, it's claimed that no concrete actions were taken. When the family stumbled upon blood-soaked clothes in the fields, their fears were confirmed. This discovery led to the recovery of the woman's body by a drain outside the village.
The victim's father recounted, "Around noon, we were informed that our daughter's clothes were lying in the fields. We recognized them instantly. Later, we were informed about bloodstains at the school. That's when it became painfully evident to us that she had been murdered. We urge the police to deliver justice, and we demand that the perpetrator of this heinous crime is apprehended urgently."
Police officer CEO Ashutosh Tiwari stated, "We received a complaint about the 22-year-old girl's disappearance. A search was conducted, leading to the discovery of the body. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and further actions will be determined based on the report."
Conversely, the family claims that the police have only provided assurances without taking any strict measures. The incident has sparked significant outrage in the village, with people demanding justice and accusing the police of negligence.
This event has also garnered concern from Bhim Army leader Chandrashekhar Azad and Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav. Chandrashekhar Azad tweeted that this horrifying incident exposes deep-rooted insecurity and inhumanity within society. He has called for swift and stern action against the perpetrators.
Akhilesh Yadav also described the incident as tragic, demanding tough action against the culprits. He further raised the demand for compensation of 10 million rupees for the victim's family.
