The Mahagathbandhan, ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, is fully active. In the legislative party meeting held on Thursday, a strategy was outlined, with leaders from all constituent parties unanimously accepting Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership. According to sources, senior Congress leader and MLA Vijay Shankar Dubey also declared Tejashwi as the leader of the coalition.
Tejashwi Yadav, addressing the legislators, gave clear directives to avoid statements that could create contradictions within the Mahagathbandhan. He emphasized uniting against the NDA, spending more time with the public, and ensuring victory in previously held seats. He added that they aim to secure new seats to form the government in Bihar.
It was decided that legislators with weak performances would have personal meetings with Tejashwi Yadav. Each candidate will be scrutinized thoroughly before ticket distribution. The coalition is entering the election arena with a comprehensive strategy to prevent Nitish Kumar from becoming Chief Minister.
Tejashwi Yadav told MLAs to inform the public that the 'jungle raj' rhetoric is outdated and present data on the developmental works accomplished during the RJD regime. Additionally, they should highlight public grievances against the current government. The Mahagathbandhan will hold joint district-level meetings where final decisions on seat-sharing will be made.
