In a shocking turn of events in Begusarai, Bihar, a B.Sc Nursing student was brutally murdered in what seems to be a crime rooted in a love affair. This tragic incident took place in the Mohanpur village within Khodawandpur police station's jurisdiction. The victim has been identified as Priyanshu Raj, a 22-year-old resident of Ward-12 in Mohanpur, the son of Yogendra Paswan. Priyanshu had been residing in Darbhanga, preparing for his nursing exams.
On Sunday, Priyanshu returned home at night after taking an exam in Patna. At approximately 9:00 PM on Sunday night, he left home after dinner. His family assumed he went to sleep in another room, but when neither he nor his bike was found the next morning, his family commenced a search for him.

Body Discovered Outside Village
During the search, news arrived about the discovery of a bike and a body lying by the roadside outside the village. Upon reaching the spot, the family identified the body as Priyanshu's. Upon receiving the incident report, the police promptly arrived at the scene, securing the site and initiating their investigation. Three bullet casings, a bike, and a mobile phone were recovered by law enforcement officers. Presently, the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination at the Sadar Hospital.
Upon receiving the news, Superintendent of Police Manish, alongside his team, reached the incident location, conducting a thorough investigation into the entire matter. The victim's cousin highlighted that upon the notification about a body, they reached the location in the morning and confirmed it was Priyanshu. Despite having dinner at 9 PM and leaving the house, his family was oblivious to his whereabouts afterward.
Police Pursues Investigation Thoroughly
Both police and relatives suspect that Priyanshu was lured under the guise of a love affair and then brutally murdered with gunshots and stab wounds. SP Manish asserted a thorough investigation is being conducted, examining all angles. Discussions have suggested Priyanshu was involved in a romantic relationship with a girl, believed to be the motive behind such a heinous act. Law enforcement has seized the victim’s mobile phone as part of the ongoing probe.
