The chilling unraveling of Devendra Kumar’s murder in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, has left the community in shock. According to police investigations, this heinous crime involves Devendra's wife and her lover. The motive behind the murder reportedly stems from an illicit affair. Currently, two suspects are in police custody, and two more were apprehended following a confrontation.
Devendra Kumar had mysteriously disappeared days ago. His 50-year-old wife, Maya Devi, initially reported him missing, prompting a police investigation. On May 10, a dismembered body was found in the village under Sikandarpur police station.
The body’s limbs had been severed, leading authorities to discover the torso in a nearby well the next day. After much investigation, the deceased was identified as Devendra Kumar. What followed was a shocking revelation of betrayal and murder.
It turned out that Devendra’s demise was orchestrated not by strangers, but by his wife, Maya Devi. Her relationship with lover Anil Yadav driven by illicit desires culminated in a deadly conspiracy. Together with their co-conspirators, they executed the terrible plan, dismembered Devendra's body, and scattered the parts across different locations.
The police mentioned that the accused confessed to throwing Devendra's head into the Ghaghra River, and efforts with divers are underway to recover it. Other dismembered parts have been retrieved.
