On Wednesday, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived at the Pasrur Army Cantonment in Sialkot. Following an attack on May 10, the Indian army had destroyed the radar system of this military camp. Upon meeting with the soldiers, the Pakistani Prime Minister engaged in quite a dramatic display. Shahbaz Sharif reiterated familiar talking points and sang paeans to the so-called bravery of the Pakistani military.

Attempting to emulate the persona of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shahbaz Sharif was seen at a Pasrur Army Cantonment wearing a hat, from where he climbed onto a tank to deliver his address. A poster behind him depicted images of those supposedly martyred in India's air strike. The tank was camouflaged with grass to simulate a wartime scenario as Sharif ascended using an iron ladder.

Accompanied by Army Chief Aseem Munir, Pakistan's Air Chief, and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, along with other military officials, Sharif's proceedings often seemed theatrical. From atop the tank, he patted the backs of Aseem Munir and Air Marshal Babar as officers saluted him from below.

During his speech, Sharif lavishly praised the Pakistani military. He boasted that although the enemy was many times larger, they were unable to overpower Pakistan due to the courage shown by its forces. Notably, Sharif omitted any mention of the damage inflicted by the Indian strike. Sharif claimed that numerous books and research would soon chronicle the bravery of the Pakistani army.

Sharif expressed his desire to write a book on the Pakistani military's bravery if ever given the chance, addressing the troops as national heroes for their valor.

He elaborated,

"As Pakistan's Prime Minister, I take pride in your leadership. Not once during the battle did I see hesitation on their faces. Whenever the enemy moved forward, our military leaders would consult with me on how best to respond... Such are the tales of courage and valor that I will write about when I retire, but today, you've made Pakistan proud."

Issuing a warning, Sharif stated that if India were to block Pakistan's water, it would draw a red line — asserting that blood and water cannot flow simultaneously. He affirmed that Pakistan’s rightful share of water would be secured through the courage and sacrifices of its soldiers.

It should be noted that in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India's Operation Sindoor led to the death of 100 terrorists in Pakistan, with 30 to 40 Pakistani army soldiers also perishing in the operation.
