Javed's arrest has prompted the release of a video in which he claims, 'I am innocent,' challenging the police's narrative. Sangeeta, the victims' mother, believes Javed is lying to save himself, asserting that he escorted Sajid on a motorcycle to her house on the day of the incident. She demands that police sort the call made by Sajid from her home post-murder.
After Javed's arrest, he pleaded with bystanders to turn him over to the police, proclaiming his innocence. Since the day of the crime, Javed had fled Badaun. There was a 25,000 rupee reward for information leading to his arrest.
Post-mortem reports reveal the extent of Sajid's savagery. The children were assaulted numerous times with a sharp weapon. The examination was conducted by a panel of three doctors with videography to ensure transparency. It was discovered that 13-year-old Ayush suffered nine wounds, with injuries on his neck, arms, chest, and abdomen. Six-year-old Aahan, also known as Hani, had 11 wounds. The cause of death for both was deep cut wounds on their necks.
