Fierce verbal exchanges unfold on social media between Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. Chief Minister Sarma accused Gogoi of visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the Pakistani government's Home Ministry and ISI, alleging involvement in suspicious activities there. Gogoi flatly dismissed these allegations, raising serious questions about the Chief Minister's 'mental health', saying, "The script he's following is worse than a B-grade movie."
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma alleges, "I say with full responsibility that Assam MP Gaurav Gogoi spent several days in Pakistan on an invitation from the Home Ministry. We are conducting a detailed investigation into this trip and associated activities. We have documentary evidence of this."

Assam CM Vows to Present Evidence by September 10
The Assam CM stated, "Evidence will be presented to the public by September 10. Gaurav Gogoi visited Pakistan not for tourism but for training. This is a significant and dangerous thing." The Chief Minister also stated that receiving a direct invitation from the Home Ministry proves Gogoi's close ties with Pakistan.
Responding to the allegations, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said, "I'm concerned about the Chief Minister's mental health. I've been his target for the past 13 years, always facing baseless accusations. His latest statement is insanely futile. We will work for his welfare post-2026."
Gogoi Doubts CM Will Produce Solid Facts
Gaurav Gogoi urged the Chief Minister to focus on Assam's poor economic condition and politically-supported coal-drug mafias instead of making baseless allegations. Gogoi said, "99% of what the Chief Minister says is nonsense. He should make the facts public instead of hiding behind an imaginary September deadline. I doubt the Chief Minister will bring forth any solid facts in September."

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi remarked, "The Chief Minister's script is worse than a B-movie. It is said that one must tell countless lies to cover up a single lie. The Chief Minister is doing exactly that. He's providing no facts, merely acting like an IT cell troll. He shouldn't behave like a troll. If he has evidence supporting his recent allegations, he should publicly disclose it. This spectacle can't be hidden much longer."
