Leader of the Sharad Pawar group and legislator, Rohit Pawar, has extended an open offer to MNS chief Raj Thackeray. He suggested, 'Mr. Thackeray is a significant leader. He should ponder over the extend of urgent need the BJP is facing, which is prompting them to value everyone now. When not needed, they are ignored. Bearing in mind the ethos of Maharashtra, Mr. Thackeray should attempt to join the Mahavikas Aghadi.'
Rohit Pawar further stated, 'There is a state in North and South India we call Maharashtra, a land inspired by saints and noble personalities. Here, the BJP realizes it isn't supported by the people, which is why they now aim to divide the votes by allying with all parties, big or small. Should uniting all parties be feasible, they would undertake that as well. All factions that lacked significance in 2019 are now being valued.'
If Raj Thackeray joins the NDA in Maharashtra and aligns with the BJP-Shinde-Ajit faction, it would be a significant political move. Mr. Thackeray arrived in Delhi on Monday night, where Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, and state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule were present. It is anticipated prior to the parliamentary elections, preparations are underway to induct Raj Thackeray into the NDA. Mr. Thackeray might negotiate on behalf of his party MNS for two seats in South Mumbai and Shirdi.
It is noteworthy that Raj Thackeray is the nephew of Bal Thackeray, the late founder of Shiv Sena and cousin to former CM Uddhav Thackeray. After the split within Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray leads the party's other faction.
Rohit Pawar, MLA from Karjat-Jamkhed, is a part of the Pawar family. Sharad Pawar is his grandfather, and Supriya is his aunt. Rohit is considered a trusted member of both. Sharad Pawar's elder brother Vasant Rao Pawar's son is Rajendra Pawar, and Rohit is his only son.
