A sudden fire broke out at the Central Bank located in Chanda Railway, Amravati district of Maharashtra, engulfing cash and important documents worth millions.

Reports suggest the fire erupted shortly after the bank opened due to an air conditioner short circuit. The inferno quickly spread throughout the entire bank premises. Thankfully, all bank staff safely evacuated, ensuring no injuries.

The Chanda Railway fire department responded promptly to extinguish the flames, but the intensity of the fire made it a daunting task. Additional firefighting units were called from Dhamangaon and Tivasa under Amravati Municipal Corporation.

The sight of the bank on fire attracted a large local crowd. Police had to step in to manage the situation. PSI Ajay Akhri from Chanda Railway Police Station reported that all bank contents were reduced to ashes.
