At a rally held on Sunday in Madurai, Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Tamil Nadu's current DMK government. He stated that over the past four years, the DMK has crossed all limits of corruption. Shah accused them of depriving the poor of food by handing over nutritional kits, worth 450 crore rupees provided by the central government, to a private company.

Expressing his concerns, Shah remarked, "While I reside in Delhi, my ears are always tuned to Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister boldly claims that Amit Shah cannot defeat the DMK, and he is right because it is the people of Tamil Nadu who will defeat them."

Shah further alleged that the DMK government is involved in an illegal sand mining scam worth 4600 crore rupees, severely affecting the state's poor who are forced to buy expensive sand for the party's profit. He also brought up the TASMAC scandal, attributing a loss of 39,000 crore rupees to the state, which could have funded the construction of two extra rooms in each school in Tamil Nadu.

Supreme Court imposes a halt on Enforcement Directorate's probe

Notably, last month, the Supreme Court paused the Enforcement Directorate's investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act after hearing a petition from the Tamil Nadu government. The government described it as an abuse of power by a central authority, calling it unconstitutional.

60% of electoral promises unfulfilled - Amit Shah

Shah declared, "I have an exhaustive list of corruption by the MK Stalin government, but delving into it would be a waste of time." He asserted that only 60 percent of the electoral promises have been fulfilled by Stalin's administration, challenging him to reveal the truth to the public regarding the promises kept.

Political analysts suggest that Shah's remarks are strategically aimed at swaying the political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections. His statements made clear the BJP's intentions to form a government in the state.
