U.S. President Donald Trump claims to have played a crucial role in ceasing several global conflicts. In a bold move, the Pakistan government has formally nominated Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.

According to a statement, Pakistan highlighted Trump's significant diplomatic intervention and leadership during the 2025 India-Pakistan conflict, prompting his nomination for the esteemed prize.

Praising Trump's efforts, Pakistan acknowledged his role in facilitating a ceasefire with India, averting a larger war risk and deeming him truly deserving of the Peace Prize.

In light of Operation Sindoor by India, Islamabad launched Operation Bunyaan Un Marsuus. Tensions escalated rapidly, but Trump's intervention played a pivotal role in easing regional tension, showcasing his dedication to peace and dialogue, thereby serving as a peacemaker.

Nevertheless, Trump expressed skepticism about winning the Nobel Peace Prize. In a social media post, he proudly shared brokering a treaty between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Rwanda with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, remarking on the significance for Africa and the world, yet expressing doubt about receiving the accolade.

He further stated that despite halting wars between India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, and fostering peace between Egypt and Ethiopia, he remains doubtful about receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.
