Amid growing tensions related to Iran in the Middle East, Europe's leading airlines have taken precautionary measures. French airline Air France and Dutch carrier KLM have canceled their flights to Israel, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia at least until Sunday. Citing 'security tensions' in the region, both airlines made this decision.
Air France and KLM operate under the same parent company, Air France-KLM. The companies have emphasized that the safety of passengers and crew is their utmost priority, and the situation is being continuously reviewed.

This decision comes at a time when Germany's Lufthansa Group had already canceled its night flights to Israel until the end of January. The Lufthansa Group includes major airlines such as Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings. Previously, many international airlines have limited flights amid rising tensions in the region.
The U.S. Increases Military Presence in the Middle East
The airlines' decision to cancel flights coincides with the U.S. bolstering its military presence in the Middle East. The U.S. has taken a firm stance against the recent suppression of anti-government protests in Iran and has indicated possible military actions, heightening the prospects of new conflicts in the area.

No Security Advisories Issued by Israel
As of now, neither European aviation officials nor the Israeli Aviation Authority have issued any specific security warnings. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also stated on Friday that there have been no changes to safety guidelines for the general population. For now, airlines are monitoring the situation, and future decisions will be based on the security environment in the coming days.
