Amidst the ongoing India AI Summit 2026 in Delhi, Youth Congress activists staged a semi-nude protest. About 8 to 10 Youth Congress workers made their way through a QR code into Bharat Mandapam. Upon entry, these Congress activists removed their clothes near the stage, escalating their protest. Many were seen discarding their shirts and vests.
The demonstrators waved shirts with 'PM COMPROMISED' emblazoned upon them within Bharat Mandapam while chanting slogans inside.
Quick action by the Delhi team led to the immediate detainment of the Youth Congress activists on the scene.
According to reports, all individuals were taken to the Tilak Marg Police Station. Delhi Police sources have indicated that legal action will ensue. The police have detained Krishna Hari, National Secretary, Youth Congress; Kundan Yadav, Bihar Secretary; Ajay Kumar, State Vice President; and Narsimha Yadav, from Telangana.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh lambasted Congress for these actions. He critiqued that while the world viewed India as it hosted the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, witnessing our growing global leadership in technology and innovation, Congress chose disruption over elevating the nation's honor.
The inappropriate behavior by Youth Congress activists at the venue not only tarnished the event but threatened to smear India’s international reputation. I denounce Congress's actions outright.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra commented on how the Congress workers, clad in T-shirts, scanned codes to enter then stripped their clothes inside, causing a commotion.
BJP leader Amit Malviya called the Congress demonstration a dishonor to the nation.
Amit Malviya asserted that while India hosts a globally acclaimed AI summit showcasing technological innovation and leadership, the Congress opted for embarrassment rather than honor.

Under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, Congress workers went topless at the venue to purposefully embarrass India on a global platform. As the country strives to establish itself as a global technology powerhouse, such behavior only favors those wishing to see India falter. Political opposition is a democratic right, but damaging India's global image is not acceptable. India deserves better.

BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa criticized Rahul Gandhi for orchestrating the protest at the AI summit. This shameless display, witnessed by international attendees, shows Congress's falling ethics, bereft of concern for India's technological strides.
In his defense, Indian Youth Congress President Uday Bhanu Chhib affirmed their commitment to Rahul Gandhi. Despite numerous interrogations and possible legal challenges, they stand unyielding. While BJP might take extreme measures, they consider themselves defenders of the constitution and will unfalteringly raise their voice for the country's youth.

Chhib expressed concern over being prevented from demonstrating on the streets, social media posts censored, arguing that AI Summit protests are not against the Summit but for India's compromised interests being negotiated away.
With pressing issues like unfair deals with foreign entities, neglected farmers, rising unemployment, and divisive politics, Chhib emphasizes the impossibility of remaining silent. This nation belongs to 140 crore citizens and silence is not an option if leadership is compromised.
