A commotion erupted at the high-profile 'AI Impact Summit' held at Bharat Mandapam in the heart of the capital when Youth Congress activists broke through the security cordon and entered the premises.
The protesters aggressively chanted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including 'PM is Compromised.'
At the time of this protest, many prominent figures and representatives from across the globe were present at the summit. Youth Congress activists abruptly arrived near the main hall with banners and posters. Security personnel were swift to detain the protestors and escort them out of the premises.
According to Delhi Police sources, several Congress activists were detained from the AI Summit. The police stated that strict legal action will be taken against the accused. Additionally, an investigation is underway to determine how the activists managed to infiltrate despite tight security.
The police reported that there were about 10 individuals involved, with 4 to 5 people taken into custody. All had gained entry using QR code passes and were taken to the Tilak Marg police station.
BJP claims a plot to embarrass India
BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya condemned the Youth Congress protest during the AI Summit, targeting the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi. Malviya labeled the incident a 'National Shame,' posting on social media that while India is hosting a prestigious global AI summit, the Congress chose disruption over dignity. The unruly behavior at the venue, he stated, was designed to embarrass India on a world stage.
He further noted, "As our country strives to establish itself as a global tech powerhouse, such conduct only serves those who wish to see India falter. Political dissent is a democratic right, but tarnishing India's global image is not. India deserves better."
