Uttar Pradesh News:

In Nandwal village, Bahraich district, a 32-year-old pregnant woman named Nankai cut her belly open with a blade during labor pains. Her husband had passed away, and with no one else at home, the pain pushed her to this drastic step, resulting in her intestines protruding. Later, she managed to deliver a baby girl through normal delivery. Due to her critical condition, she has been referred from Bahraich Medical College to KGMC Trauma Center in Lucknow.

The Limit of Pain and a Horrifying Step

Nankai, widow of Nankau, already had five children. When excruciating labor pain set in, with no one around, she panicked. Admitted to the hospital, Nankai described the pain as unbearable, leading her to cut open her stomach with a sharp tool at home. By the time neighbors responded to her screams, her belly was severely cut, and her intestines were hanging out. Amidst all this, she managed to give birth to a healthy baby girl.

A Tale of Mother and Medics

Her mother, Munni Devi, shared that no other women were present to help when the pain escalated, which drove Nankai to this act. Meanwhile, Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi of Bahraich Medical College reported that upon arrival, the baby had already been born. The woman's stomach had a deep cut, and her intestines were exposed. After initial treatment and considering her fragile state, she was urgently referred to Lucknow.
