Who is Narasimha Yadav, the Organizer of the Youth Congress Protest at the AI Summit?

An unexpected incident during the India 'AI Impact Summit 2026' at Bharat Mandapam in the capital, Delhi, created a tense atmosphere. Several activists of the Indian Youth Congress started shouting slogans by removing their T-shirts in the AI Expo Hall. The objective of these protests was a vehement opposition to the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Indian Youth Congress clarified in their statement that this protest was against a “Compromised Prime Minister” who they claimed has endangered India's identity at the Artificial Intelligence Summit. This sparked a political storm and the BJP fiercely attacked Congress over the issue.

Shortly after the incident, Delhi Police registered an FIR and commenced an investigation. According to sources, a person named Narasimha Yadav played a significant role in organizing this protest. Narasimha Yadav is the National Coordinator of the Indian Youth Congress and is actively promoting the political participation of youth. The protest was organized under his leadership. He is known to be close to Rahul Gandhi.

During the protest, Narasimha Yadav was detained by the police. Following his arrest, a wave of political reactions surged. The opposition questioned the government's policy and security arrangements, while the government justified the police's action.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh posted on X regarding the entire incident, stating, 'The disgraceful manner in which Youth Congress activists created a ruckus at the venue is not only unfortunate but also an attempt to tarnish India's reputation on an international scale. I condemn this act of Congress.'

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked that while India is progressing under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the shameful acts by Congress's youth organization at Bharat Mandapam were an attempt to spoil India's image before the world. We strongly condemn this.
