Major Blow to AAP as Eight Legislators Quit Before Delhi Polls

The Aam Aadmi Party faces a major challenge ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections as eight of its legislators have ended their primary membership. Among those stepping down are Rohit Mahraulia of Trilokpuri, Rajesh Rishi of Janakpuri, Madan Lal of Kasturba Nagar, Bhawana Gaur of Palam, Naresh Yadav of Mehrauli, Pawan Sharma of Adarsh Nagar, BS June from Bijwasan, and Girish Soni from Madipur.

The resigning legislators have stated in their letters that the party has deviated from the honest ideology upon which it was founded, expressing deep disappointment over the current state of AAP.

Bhawana Gaur, MLA from Palam, mentioned in her resignation that her faith in the party has entirely eroded, compelling her to resign from the party's primary membership.

Naresh Yadav: Honesty is Missing from AAP

Naresh Yadav, MLA from Mehrauli, announced his resignation via a social media post on platform X. He joined AAP for its honest politics, but claims that honesty is now nowhere to be found. Despite his decade-long commitment to integrity in the legislative seat of Mehrauli, Yadav criticizes the current state of AAP as embroiled in corruption.

Yadav mentioned that people in his area urged him to leave the party as it had betrayed the public. He believes few members remain committed to honest politics and promises to only maintain friendships with these individuals. He expressed sadness that AAP, born out of the Anna movement aiming to eradicate corruption from Indian politics, has not achieved its mission.

Total Trust Loss in AAP: Madan Lal

In his resignation, Madan Lal of Kasturba Nagar expressed a complete loss of trust in AAP, leading to his departure from the party.

Ending Ties with Pretentious People: Rohit Mahraulia

Rohit Mahraulia, representative of Trilokpuri, shared on X that he is severing ties with those who seek only Dr. Ambedkar's picture, not his ideas. He has resigned from all positions within AAP.

Party of Corruption and Nepotism: Rajesh Rishi

Janakpuri MLA Rajesh Rishi, in his resignation on X, lamented the distance AAP has created from its principles of transparency and accountability, claiming the party has become a vessel of corruption and nepotism. He can no longer be part of an organization that has lost its moral compass.

Gratitude to Constituents: Girish Soni

In a heartfelt post on X, MLA Girish Soni thanked the people of his Madipur constituency for their support throughout his political career, affirming his resignation while promising to continue serving the community diligently.
