Speaking with Cricbuzz, a senior CSK official stated, 'We are definitely interested in Sanju. He is a versatile Indian batsman who is also a keeper and an opener. If he becomes available, we will certainly consider bringing him into our team.' However, it was clarified that there has been no decision on which player would be traded in return.
Samson's Value and Potential Trade
Sanju Samson was retained by Rajasthan Royals for the IPL 2025 season for ₹18 crore. CSK retained Ruturaj Gaikwad for the same amount, hinting that a trade could be an equal exchange. However, CSK coach Stephen Fleming has already stated that Gaikwad is being groomed as a long-term captain, making his trade unlikely.
