This morning, a tragic incident unfolded in Saharanpur, UP, as a 13-year-old differently-abled girl perished in a house fire. The fire broke out while her parents were on their morning walk. Due to her disabilities, she was unable to flee the blaze and tragically lost her life. The young girl was unable to move or communicate, making it impossible for her to alert anyone to the fire.

The incident took place in the city Kotwali area of Saharanpur, at the home of Avneesh Jain. Avneesh operates a computer showroom, while his wife, Nidhi Jain, lectures at Shri Digambar Jain Inter College. On Wednesday morning, Avneesh and Nidhi went to Company Bagh for a morning walk, leaving their differently-abled daughter, Aadhya Jain, sleeping in her room. While they were out, the fire ignited in their home.

During the fire, Aadhya's uncle, Manish Jain, was sleeping on the top floor. The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit. Upon returning from their walk, Avneesh noticed smoke emanating from the house and immediately called the fire brigade. The fire brigade arrived promptly and managed to control the fire within about half an hour. Unfortunately, by the time the flames were extinguished, the girl had already succumbed to her injuries. When Avneesh entered the room, he found his daughter completely charred.

Aadhya Jain was differently-abled from birth, unable to speak or move, and was therefore unable to call for help when the fire struck. She suffered alone on her bed until the flames took her life. The Jain family is devastated by this incident.

Her uncle, Manish Jain, stated that he was asleep on the upper floor when his elder brother and sister-in-law returned and informed him of the incident. The victim's older brother, who is studying in Bengaluru, has been informed over the phone and is on his way to Saharanpur.

Saharanpur SP City, Abhimanyu Manglik, reported that the incident occurred between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. Upon receiving information, both the police and fire brigade teams arrived at the scene. Initial investigations suggest that the fire was caused by a short circuit, though a detailed investigation is ongoing.
