In Babiaav village of Cholapur Block, Varanasi district, a unique mango is making waves. The 'Miyazaki' mango from Japan is globally esteemed and recognized as the priciest, estimated at 200,000 to 300,000 rupees per kilogram in the international markets. Farmer Shailendra Kumar Raghuvanshi has imported this exotic variety from Japan, cultivating it in his fields where the fruiting has just begun.

Shailendra revealed that he ordered the plant in December 2021 from a Pune-based company. After meticulous care spanning six months, it was finally planted, and now, nearly two years later, the plants have started bearing fruits. The 'Miyazaki' mango's blush resembles the morning sun's hue and its shape is oval. Apart from its delightful taste, this mango stands out for its rich vitamins and minerals.
