In the Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi, a law student from Delhi University was tragically stabbed to death on Friday. According to an agency, the student’s family was involved in a dispute with the uncle’s family. This chilling incident happened around 11:30 AM in Sangam Vihar.
The police received a PCR call alerting them about the incident. A police team reached the scene to find Mohammad Irshad severely injured. A senior police officer mentioned that he was taken to Majidia Makbul Memorial (MMM) Hospital, where he was declared dead.
A United Attack by Uncle, Aunt, and Cousins
Irshad was a first-year LLB student at Delhi University's Campus Law Centre. His body showed multiple stab wounds. According to police, Irshad’s sister was an eyewitness to the event. She alleged that her brother was attacked by their uncle Mubarak, 50, who worked as a mason, his wife Rehana Khatoon, 47, and their sons Ishtiaq, 26, along with a 15-year-old minor.
Officials stated that all parties involved live in the same area. Police revealed that initial investigations and nearby CCTV footage show that a previous altercation occurred between the families, leading to Friday’s deadly assault.
