On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet Indian President Draupadi Murmu. Despite being welcomed by both the President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Putin chose not to first greet them as expected. Instead, he made an intriguing gesture by shaking hands with someone else first.

Exiting his car, Putin greeted everyone with a nod. He then appeared to turn towards the President but made a brief stop to shake hands with an individual, Vudev Parida, before moving on to greet President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi.
