With only a few days left for the Jharkhand elections, political parties are fervently competing to win over the public. India's opposition block, INDIA, has now stepped up, unveiling its election promises following the BJP's announcement. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, together with Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM leader Hemant Soren, and other leaders, presented the manifesto that promises seven key guarantees, including ₹2500 for women, Rs. 450 gas cylinders for underprivileged families, and 7 kilos of ration among others.
Here are the 7 Guarantees Announced by INDIA Block-
1. Guarantee of the 1931-Based Khatian:
Promises include implementing policies based on the 1932 Khatian, enforcing the Sarna Religion Code, and preserving regional language and culture.
2. Guarantee of Women's Respect:
From December 2024, women will receive ₹2500 as part of a respect scheme.
3. Guarantee of Social Justice:
Commitment to securing interests for SC-ST-OBCs, including 28% for STs, 12% for SCs, 27% for OBCs, and the establishment of a ministry for the welfare of backward classes.
4. Guarantee of Food Security:
Ensures distribution of 7 kilos of ration per person. Also, Rs. 450 gas cylinders for each impoverished household.
5. Guarantee of Employment and Health Security:
Promises jobs and employment for 10 lakh youth and family health insurance up to Ꭓ1.5 million.
6. Guarantee of Education:
Pledges to establish degree colleges in all blocks, engineering and medical colleges, and universities at district headquarters, alongside setting up 500-acre industrial parks to facilitate job opportunities through an industrial incentive policy.
7. Guarantee of Farmer Welfare:
Plans to increase the MSP of rice from ₹2400 to ₹3200 and a 50% increase in the support price for crops like lac, tassar, and others.

Amit Shah Issued BJP's Manifesto
Previously, Union Home Minister Amit Shah released BJP's manifesto, launching scathing attacks against the Hemant Soren government and stating that the Jharkhand election is not only about changing the government but about securing Jharkhand's future. He accused the current government of failing to protect Jharkhand’s identity – bread, daughters, and soil. The people of Jharkhand, he insisted, must decide if they want a corrupt government or one led by Modi, who champions development.
Key Announcements from BJP's Manifesto-
1. Women will receive ₹2100 every month on the 11th under the Gogo Didi scheme.
2. Cylinders for ₹500 along with two free cylinders during Diwali and Raksha Bandhan.
3. Creation of 5 lakh job opportunities in 5 years.
4. 5 lakh job opportunities for Jharkhand's youth within five years, with 3 lakh government positions filled transparently.
5. Every graduate and postgraduate youth given ₹2000 monthly allowance.
6. Assurance of permanent housing for every underprivileged citizen.
7. Universal Civil Code implementation, with full tribal exclusion.
8. Transparent recruitment for government positions, with CBI and SIT investigations into old cases.
9. Promoting tribal pride by developing religious and cultural sites and offering aid and assistance.
10. Establishment of a memorial for Lord Birsa Munda in Jamshedpur.
11. Prevention of illegal immigration.
