TMC’s Minister Sashi Panja has laid the blame on the Maharashtra government and administration regarding a doctor's suicide in the state. Panja stated that the doctor was pressured into wrongdoing, forced to forge false fitness certificates, and received threats, even from an MP over the phone.
Panja emphasized that when the doctor approached the police for help, some officers were implicated in the incident. The minister noted that before her death, the doctor inscribed on her hand that the police, administration, and Maharashtra's 'double-engine' government are accountable and justice should be served even posthumously.

Panja questioned why such incidents in Maharashtra are not addressed vocally. She inquired, "Where is the Maharashtra Women's Commission? Why isn't national or regional media raising questions? Why isn't there a call for the CM's resignation, when in Bengal we always demand accountability in such occurrences?"
Sashi Panja also criticized the BJP concerning CAA camps and SIR (Special Investment Region). She argued that SIR is akin to a backdoor NRC and assured continued actions against such measures.
