Last year, before the G-20 Summit, the national capital Delhi underwent a beautiful transformation. The city's streets were adorned with stunning artworks and fountains. Despite initial concerns that the grandeur might fade post-event, it's evident that these fears were misplaced. The artworks and decorations along the streets remain in excellent condition to this day.

Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena convened a meeting to review the status and upkeep of these installations, expressing gratitude to the various departments for their maintenance efforts.

Prior to the G-20 event, around 150 ancient artworks like the Konark Wheel, Yakshini, and Elephant Family were regularly maintained. Additionally, 150 stone fountains imported from Rajasthan continue to function smoothly.

Lieutenant Governor Thanks Delhi Residents

Residents played a crucial role in this success. The Lieutenant Governor expressed his gratitude to the people of Delhi for their support, emphasizing that these artworks are intended to be a permanent asset to the city. Even after the G-20 Summit, these installations continue to enrich Delhi, notably including a stone fountain at Vijay Ghat, a white marble Elephant Family at RML Roundabout, and a white sandstone chariot at the junction of Sardar Patel Marg and Simon Bolivar Marg.

As Delhi continues to thrive post-G-20, the collaborative efforts between government agencies and the public ensure that the city stands as a testament to India's cultural richness and aesthetic dedication.
