The renown of IITian Baba Abhay Singh from Jhajjar has spread far and wide at Prayagraj's Mahakumbh. His ancestral roots trace back to Sasrauli, Jhajjar, Haryana. His father, a lawyer by profession, has even presided over the Jhajjar Bar Association. It was only through social media that his father, Karn Singh, learned about his decision to renounce worldly possessions and take the path of spirituality.

In a heartfelt conversation with Aajtak, he shared that Abhay Singh was always exceptionally bright in academics. His excellent ranking earned him a spot at IIT Mumbai. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he stayed in Canada, living with his sister and securing a job there.

Karn Singh revealed that after returning from Canada, he had taken Abhay to a naturopathy hospital in Bhiwani. It was there, during meditation sessions, that doctors hinted at his inclination towards spirituality. Though not completely pleased, Karn acknowledges that Abhay can best explain his decision to embark on this path. Perhaps, Abhay aims to convey a profound spiritual message to the nation.

Blocked Phone Numbers of Family Members

Karn Singh shared that Abhay never openly discussed these matters with him. Communication was minimal, and neither his father nor his mother was ever informed about his spiritual quest. Abhay was not fond of phone conversations, often suggesting messages instead. Alarmingly, for the past six months, he has blocked all family members' phone numbers, making it difficult to keep track of his whereabouts.

Social Media: The Source of Spiritual Discovery

Karn learned of Abhay's spiritual journey through social media. Abhay had blocked numbers to avoid discussions about marriage, as his family might raise the topic. Even during his time at IIT, he had attended the Kumbh in Ujjain, showcasing his spirited determination. As a student, he often studied until the early morning hours, yet never revealed his life's purpose. His whereabouts have been traced for the last six months.

Family Longs for His Return Home

Karn Singh expressed hope that Abhay would return home, but he isn't inclined to pressurize him. He encouraged Abhay to voice any grievances he may have. His mother hopes they can gently bring him back. With tears in his eyes, Karn reminisced about how Abhay's mother would always persuade him as a child when he was upset. The family vowed not to hurt Abhay in any way, respecting his strong-willed nature and his resolve in seeing through whatever he sets his mind to.
