As the election noise in Delhi comes to a halt today, every political party is making a final push. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is campaigning in Delhi for his alliance partner BJP. On Monday, during a press conference, he targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government, calling AAP's governance model a failed state model.
'Streets of Delhi overflowing with garbage'
Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that both air pollution and political pollution are detrimental to health. He criticized the Delhi government's decade-long model as a 'failed governance model'. Where does the money come from in the Delhi model? AAP holds power in two states, Punjab and Delhi. This is entirely a failed model. There's no difference between sewer water and drinking water here.
He pointed out that Delhi's streets are cluttered with garbage. The first waste-to-energy plant is in Delhi. All the infrastructure is in Delhi, what have you done with it? Delhi once symbolized hope for Indians. People used to come to Delhi to build careers, now they are seeking opportunities outside of it.
Empowering women through transformative budgets
On the central budget, Naidu stated, 'This budget is centered on inclusive development. It will supply food to the global community and empower women. The focus is on creating more jobs. The central budget aligns with my ten principles of development. With public policy, the government can transform society.' He added that by 2047, Indians will become the wealthiest community, an unstoppable evolution. Globally, Indians are the most accepted community.
'MSME and agricultural export as game changers'
Chandrababu Naidu remarked, 'People are witnessing India's growth. I observed immense interest in India's development even at Davos. Through AI, India is poised to play a significant role in the global economy.' He said the central budget envisions a developed India by 2047. MSME and agricultural exports will turn the tide for the Indian economy.
'AAP's decade of inaction on pollution control'
He said, 'The Yamuna is one of the most polluted rivers. In 10 years, AAP couldn't manage the pollution. Only a double-engine government can address these issues. Globally, look at what happened to communism. I said long ago that communism had ended; only tourism thrives. Even in China, communism is political, not economical. The central budget, I believe, is on the right path.'
An appeal to Telugu voters
Naidu said, 'Among all scams, the liquor scam is the worst. AAP's model does not suit the nation. I proposed the Hyderabad model. With its greenery and water facilities, Hyderabad is the most suitable place to live. We introduced water to Hyderabad within nine months, whereas in 10 years, the Yamuna remains filthy. A double-engine government can set things straight.' Regarding the Delhi elections, he appealed to Telugu voters to support BJP.
