A shocking incident of superstition unfolded in Bajitpur village, located in the Bihta area of Patna. Here, 32-year-old Julie Devi was accused of being a witch and was beaten to death. During the horrifying attack, five of her family members who tried to intervene were also seriously injured. The incident has left the entire village in a state of tension and fear.
Reports indicate that the deceased, Julie Devi, was visiting her maternal home in Bajitpur village. During her stay, the mysterious death of a six-month-old child in a neighboring family occurred. Driven by superstition, the grieving family accused Julie Devi of being a witch. This accusation led some villagers to launch a violent attack on Julie and her family.
It's alleged that the attackers used iron rods, sticks, and bricks to brutally assault Julie, resulting in her death at the scene. When her family members attempted to intervene, they were also beaten, leaving five of them injured. All the wounded have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Bihta police reached the scene and took custody of the body, subsequently sending it for autopsy. The police have arrested two suspects in connection with the case, while efforts to apprehend the remaining accused are ongoing.

They informed that after the six-month-old child's death, the accused blamed Julie and her family and began the assault with iron rods and stones.
