The 2025 budget has worked wonders in the Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP managed to charm the middle and lower-middle classes, which had previously given Aam Aadmi Party a sweeping majority in the past elections. Despite routinely being overlooked by political parties in Delhi, the budget provided substantial encouragement to this significant voter demographic. At least 70% of Delhi's populace belongs to the middle and lower-middle classes.

'Sheesh Mahal' Controversy:

The 'Sheesh Mahal' scandal has considerably tainted the Aam Aadmi Party's reputation, something the BJP astutely capitalized on. Centering their campaign around this controversy struck a chord with Delhi's citizens. Delhi BJP leaders apprised the top brass that Arvind Kejriwal's image suffered due to this issue.

Slum Stay Program by BJP:

According to BJP, there has been a substantial increase in vote share, ranging from 20-30%, which once belonged to AAP. Their extensive 'slum stay program,' spanning approximately 28 weeks, involved senior BJP leaders spending nights in slums to effectively connect with this community.

Over the past eight months, over 20,000 RSS and VHP activists conducted small meetings in slums to woo voters, helping BJP gain the Purvanchali votes.

Attention on Ground-Level Issues:

Throughout its campaign, the BJP focused sharply on civic problems such as disintegrated roads, inadequate sanitation services, blocked sewage systems, and monsoon waterlogging. Top BJP leaders stressed the party does not indulge in Hindu-Muslim politics as Delhites yearn for better amenities and job opportunities.

Congress Undermines AAP Strategies:

In Delhi, Congress disrupted Aam Aadmi Party's chances on 14 seats, including Timarpur, Badli, Nangloi Jat, Madipur, Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi, Jangpura, Kasturba Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Mehrauli, Chhatarpur, Sangam Vihar, Greater Kailash, and Trilokpuri.
