In the village of Raya Buzurg, Sambhal district, a significant enforcement action took place as the Ghausul Bara Mosque, built on 552 square meters of government land, was demolished. Heavy police presence and revenue department officials were deployed to ensure smooth proceedings, and the entire village was transformed into a heavily secured area to prevent any disruptions.

This operation was closely monitored by senior district administration officials. Among those present were Additional SP Kuldeep Singh, CO Asmoli Kuldeep Singh, SDM Ramanuj, Tehsildar Dheerendra Pratap Singh, along with 31 revenue officers, and over 100 police personnel stationed throughout the village.

First Salempur Salar, Now Raya Buzurg

Previously, a similar bulldozer operation was conducted in Salempur Salar, also known as Hajipur village. Following that, authorities commenced actions on Ghausul Bara Mosque in Raya Buzurg village, previously identified in October as an illegal structure.

The mosque case even reached the High Court, yet no relief was granted to the mosque committee. As a result, the authorities, having completed the legal formalities, initiated the demolition process.

Tehsildar's Lead on Demolition

Tehsildar Dheerendra Pratap Singh led this entire operation, reiterating the focus is not on the structure's identity but on the illegal occupation of community land.

The Tehsildar emphasized the government's clear policy of zero tolerance toward illegal encroachment on government or community lands, focusing on compliance with this policy. He noted that the mosque occupied approximately 552 square meters of land.

Mention of Notices and High Court Petition

The administration had previously issued notices in this regard. Subsequently, the mosque committee filed a petition in the honorable High Court, which was dismissed, leading to the present actions by the authorities.

The Tehsildar also mentioned that had the land been utilized for a hospital or school, it would have been more beneficial to society. However, due to the illegal occupation, the action was deemed necessary.

Stringent Security Measures

Earlier in the morning, action was set to commence at Madina Mosque in Salempur Salar. However, the mosque committee volunteers preemptively demolished it themselves. Following that, government personnel were deployed to enforce actions on a madarsa built on 1,339 square meters in Salempur Salar.

Shortly afterward, bulldozer operations commenced at Ghausul Bara Mosque in Raya Buzurg, located approximately 10 kilometers away on 552 square meters of land. Across the area, five station heads, 60 constables, and 20 female constables ensured law and order. Meanwhile, the DM and SP closely monitored all developments.
